What matters is the POST season all conference team.

OK, put it on the bulletin board.

How could Tahrick break team rules before he even got on campus? I read that it was an academic issue. Thus, TT has lower standards.
9 Jul 10, 1:11 PM
I am glad that VT has higher standards than Texas Tech. I believe we lost Knowshawn Moreno to Georgia a few years back because VT required an additional math class.

A strange decision indeed. Seems like I remember reading that they were lifelong VT fans and very excited to be in Blacksburg...close to home. Does anyone know why they left?Sorry to see them go, but on the bright side, it opens up two more scholarships.

Good. I hope the players from both sides are reading this tripe. I hope Boise is a 10 point favorite. I hope Boise is overconfident. This is the kind of environment VT thrives in.

Corey Marshall is a Hokie!
Marshall just chose VT.
21 Jun 10, 1:22 PM
Lets hope we get Grant.

My preference would be that the conferences remain as they are now, but thats not going to happen. So, yes, I would be in favor of VT in the SEC. Sure, it will be tough. But if VT is to win a national championship, they must beat the Big Boys. I would suppose it would help recruitng as well.

I remember several years back when Clemson's Spiller and Davis came to Lane. They were hyped as "Thunder and Lightening." When Bud Foster and company totally shut them down, one ESPN talking head said: "The Hokies transformed 'Thunder and Lightening' to 'Partly cloudy and mild.'" PRICELESS!

I liked Jake, but Bud is the linebacker coach and he saw that JJ was simply not cutting it. On a positive note, it opens up a scholarship. I hope Jake sees success in I-AA.

Boise is capable of beating us, but I do not believe that will happen. Unless we really lay a stinker, the Hokies will beat the Bronco's by at least 10.
12 Apr 10, 2:45 PM
The offensive line is going to be fine. Yes, Gayle did beat DeChristopher a couple times, but remember, he is a proven commodity. I have read other reports that he has been "dominant" this spring. Perhaps that means that Gayle is very good. Too early to make any judgments anyway. I still say we beat Boise by 10.

Amen, it has been a long winter.
30 Mar 10, 1:26 PM
Since VT uses the fullback almost exclusively as a battering ram, I do not see this move as working out...unless Stiney plans on changing the fullback's role.

Offensive Line
I am EXTREMELY optimistic about the Hokie offense in 2010. I believe the offensive line is going to be superb. Wang and Render were good players, but from what I am reading their replacements should be even better. I know we have concerns on defense, but don't forget our secret weapon: Bud Foster. Oh, by the way, I say that we are going to beat Boise ...

The latest I read about the injury is that he MAY not be cleared to practice before September. I have read "3-4" months as well as "5-6" months. Also, since it is a leg injury, those big powerful legs are going to atrophy. This really stinks. Bruce, you better get ready.

Rivers' Injury
This site has been slow for weeks and I am starving for Hokie football talk. Question: What does Hokie Nation think about this injury? Yes, it will hurt, but how much? Is Taylor ready to play?
23 Feb 10, 1:20 PM
Wilson will redshirt unless either Williams or Evans gets hurt.
8 Feb 10, 1:37 PM
If we beat Boise, and I believe we will, we have a reasonable shot at going undefeated. VT WILL beat GT. The last two GT bowls are instructive: given time to prepare, GT gets beaten. Add to that the fact that they have lost too much talent. Miami will be the big one. They will be out for vengeance for the spanking will gave them last year. The Hokies also ...

Hokies and the National Championship
In 2003, the Hokies opened with Southern Cal, played them tough, but lost. USC went on to win the National Championship. In 2007, VT played LSU early, lost badly. LSU won it all. In 2009, Tech played Bama and we know what happened. In 2010, we begin with an undefeated Boise State team in which almost all the starters return. I'm not saying... I'm just saying...

Five reasons why VT MUST beat Tennessee.
These are my five reasons. I am sure many Hokie fans can add other good reasons why this is a must win. We are ranked 12th. UT is not even ranked. If we lose, what humiliation! When is the last time VT beat an SEC team, 2002? The ACC needs a big win over the SEC. We cant embarrass the ACC like Clemson and GT did. ...

Stiny might not be a bad choice for Richmond. He is a good recruiter and has a personality that everyone seems to like.

I find this hard to believe.
