No surprises here, really. Though, considering how little he was used, I was mildly surprised to see Greg Boone on the list.

BTU - I was surprised to see Matt Waldron on the list - sure he was a solid kicker but it's not like he struck fear into the hearts of our opponents (long of 41?). Heading into the weekend I know the UVA kicker (and I think the Miami and even BC kickers) had better #'s.
I'm happy to see all the hokies on the list - but let’s admit it - putting Greg Boone, Kam Chancellor and Ed Wang on here is a bit silly. Goes to show the people giving out these awards care more about hype, name recognition and promoting the ACC
Names like Boone, Chancellor, and Wang on the list goes to show how weak the ACC was too, if you ask me. Probably a combination of hype, politics, pity, and crappy ACC.
I can see Boone making the list because he was constantly helping Wang on the edge. Didn't Wang lead the OL with holding calls this year?
Wang on the oline = Kam Chancellor in the secondary = big name, lots of starts, talent but never put it all together and was a total liability.
But Ed did make sure to get his hair styled, conditioned and blow dried every friday before the game
